Choir and Music Team
The choir sings at the Malayalam services and the music team leads the English service. New voices and instrumentalists are welcome.
Sunday School
Age-grouped classes during the English service with Bible stories, songs, memory verses and craft.
Community Kitchen
Every Saturday morning volunteers cook and pack about 150 lunches for patients' bystanders at the government hospital and for construction workers nearby.
Monthly Medical Camp
On the second Sunday afternoon of each month, volunteer doctors and nurses offer free check-ups, blood sugar and BP tests, and referrals.
Prayer Team
A small team that prays each week for requests sent through the website, the prayer box and the church office.
Hospital and Home Visiting
Visits to members and their families who are in hospital, recovering at home or unable to come to church.
Women's Fellowship
A weekday gathering for Bible reading, prayer and friendship, with a play corner for toddlers.
Who to ask
Pastor Thomas V.
Senior Pastor
Thomas has served Emmanuel since 2011. Before that he taught English at a higher secondary school in Thrissur for nine years. He preaches most Sundays, leads the Wednesday prayer meeting and spends Tuesday and Thursday afternoons meeting people who want to talk or pray.
Rev. Anna M.
Associate Pastor, Families
Anna oversees Sunday school, the youth fellowship and family counselling. She trained in pastoral counselling in Bengaluru and has worked with children and teenagers for fifteen years.
Joseph K.
Elder
Joseph is a retired KSEB engineer and one of the founding members of the congregation. He leads the Friday Bible study and coordinates the hospital visiting team.
Priya S.
Worship Coordinator
Priya leads the music team and the choir. She teaches keyboard at a music school in Edappally during the week and arranges our Malayalam and English songs for the Sunday services.
George P.
Outreach Coordinator
George runs the community kitchen and the monthly medical camp with volunteers from the church and the neighbourhood. He works in logistics at Infopark.
