Since 1998
About Us
A church family in Kakkanad, worshipping in Malayalam and English.
Emmanuel Community Church began in 1998 as a prayer group of eleven families in a rented house near Kakkanad junction. As Infopark and the Collectorate brought new people to the area, the group grew, and in 2006 the church moved into its present building on Seaport–Airport Road.
Today around 400 people gather across our Sunday services, in Malayalam and English. We are a mix of long-time Kakkanad families, IT professionals, students and retired people, and we try to be a place where all of them belong.
What we care about
- Worship that is simple and sincere, in the language people pray in.
- Scripture read and taught carefully, week by week.
- Care for one another through visiting, prayer and practical help.
- Our neighbourhood, through the community kitchen and the monthly medical camp.
Leadership
The church is led by its pastors together with a council of elders elected by the members every three years. Accounts are audited and presented to the general body each year.

In their words
Saturday evenings are where I can ask the questions I cannot ask anywhere else, and nobody laughs.
I sent a prayer request through the website the night before my husband's surgery. Pastor Thomas called the next morning. We were not members then.
Our son actually wants to go to Sunday school. The teachers know every child by name, and the check-in system gives us peace of mind.
Come as you are
Emmanuel Community Church is a bilingual congregation on Seaport–Airport Road, Kakkanad. We meet for worship every Sunday, pray together during the week, and serve our neighbourhood through a community kitchen and a monthly medical camp.
